– sometimes eclectic – plant(s) and a very contented smile.

Springtime in the Greenhouses!! 

Spring has arrived at the San Mateo Arboretum Society Greenhouse/Nursery! The weather is heating up and plant buyers are on the prowl for easy to care plants for their gardens and to create eye-catching curb appeal.  The volunteers have been preparing the Greenhouse & Nursery all winter long. Our greenhouses are packed with a wide selection of house plants, bromeliads, and a rare variety of orchids.  Our Nursery tables are filled with perennials, grasses, shrubs, geraniums, vines, clivias, and much more at great prices. For over 20 years the Greenhouse has displayed and sold beautiful and fragrant flowering plants, seasonal plants, and houseplants to the public.

Why not make one of our house plants or blooming orchids a wonderful gift, throughout the year, to celebrate birthdays, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or cheer up yourself or a friend.  Our plant inventory changes with the seasons so stop in often and see what’s new.
